"I have become a big fan of Ranck. I first used the firm in late 2023 to do some plumbing projects at my house. That work was excellent, and the technicians both performed the work well and explained everything to me. I returned in mid-2024 to have a sewer line blockage removed -- again, excellent work. Then, recently, my water heater died. Of course, I called Ranck. Initially, I wanted to put in a tankless water heater, for which Ranck's salesperson gave me a quote. He then contacted the gas company to upgrade my meter, only to learn that the service in my area wouldn't support the tankless heater. A disappointment, but again -- great job by Ranck doing the legwork to find that out. We settled on a conventional water heater, and the installation (and removal of the old heater) went perfectly. During that installation, the technicians asked about my furnace and air conditioning. After discussing that with them, I decided to get service agreements with Ranck for both A/Cs and the furnace. This latest visit was the service call under those agreements. The units had not been serviced in ten years, so I expected to have to do some extra maintenance. The technicians spent quite a while at my house cleaning, tuning, and diagnosing each system. They identified several issues and explained them thoroughly; I decided to have them repair all but one (a minor item with a thermostat) on the spot. I now feel the satisfaction of knowing that these units are ready for the summer heat."
