"Nick and Angelina came to do the routine inspection and check on our systems. Before starting their work, they asked me how the equipment was operating and if there were any concerns. I indicated that our downstairs unit had not worked well for heating since we bought the house (heat pump only), and that I gave up and simply ran the auxiliary heat in winter. It seems to cool off OK in the summer. Angelina asked me more questions while Nick was opening the unit. The more we talked, the more they felt adjusting the programmable thermostat settings might help. Nick proceeded to make the adjustments. While performing the inspection work, they discovered that the downstairs unit compressor would not run, and they suspected it was out of Freon (low-pressure lockout). They completed the other work and turned in a request for someone to come back and check the unit for leaks and add Freon. What impressed me was that Nick and Angelina took the time to talk to me and listen to my responses and information. Then they discussed with me possible actions. They proceeded with the work very organized, working together to optimize their efforts. We had a very good debrief after the work was complete. These were the 1st two technicians who I felt took the time to listen to my comments and then troubleshoot the condition. While we still need to figure out if it is a Freon or other issue, I believe a course of action has been identified to help me. Great job, Angelina and Nick!"
